RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) manages innovation projects with partners within the mobility sector and offers facilities and testing for batteries, hybrid systems, fuel cells and hydrogen applications.

Chalmers University of Technology is at the forefront of battery research and offers relevant Master's courses and PhD positions.

Gothenburg Technical College. The Battery Centre Gothenburg (from Gothenburg Technical College) opened in January 2025 and is a unique training facility where both industrial staff and students can get real experience in battery technology within a simulated industrial environment.
